“The Secret”

Want to know the secret?

The secret to long lasting health, a reduced appetite

How to reduce cravings and stop sticking food in your mouth.

The easiest way to stop overeating is to keep yourself busy.

Not the most profound insight I know but it can have profound results.

I remember I went to my first Manchester United match.

I was 15 and got the tickets as a Christmas present.

I was so excited. I remember arriving at the stadium. Seeing the statues in person, hearing the crowd..

I remember I walked up the steps into the stadium and the roar was out of this world.

The speed of the players, the roar of the crowd.

It was one of those events that I couldn’t take my eyes off.

I never wanted the game to end.

It was only  after the final whistle I realized I hadn’t ate since the boat that morning.

Adult Life

Adult life changes the dynamic. Everything outside of work revolves around the following.

Alcohol and Food.

Even at sports events like a football game you can be persuaded to the hot food stand.

You meet up with friends for a few drinks.

Cinema with your spouse has more calories than meal out.

Even days out with the children ends with food.

Modern life can feel like an alcoholic trying to stay sober while working in a pub.

Things to Keep You From Overeating.

The easiest way to stop yourself overeating.

Finding mentally or physically stimulating tasks that stop you thinking of food.

Things like

  1. Sports events but staying away from the food stand

  2. Reading a good book

  3. Walking and listening to some good music.

  4. Doing some chores.

  5. Going on a scenic route drive

  6. Playing games with your kids.

  7. Joining a sports club.

Anything that keeps you stimulated will do the trick.

Keep Yourself Busy to Keep Yourself Slim

Usually the tendency is to dull the senses after work. Most of the methods though usually add inches on to your waistline.

Instead you should keep yourself busy to keep yourself slim.

You will be better off for it.
